Portrait of the sign
Sun in Taurus: an identity that seeks stability and the concrete: what matters must last, and be touched and tasted.
In traditional astrology, this sign acts with steadiness, sensuality and a need for security. Its element, Earth, describes its temperament; its mode, fixed, the way it enters into action; its ruling planet, Venus, the register where it feels most at home.
Moon in Taurus: stable emotions that ask for comfort: a place, habits, a reassured body. This line applies to those whose natal Moon is in this sign — the birth chart calculation will tell you.
In love
Venus in Taurus: you love with the senses and over time: fidelity, simple pleasures, possessiveness. Venus never strays more than two signs from the Sun, so it is often in the Sun sign itself or in one of its neighbours. Frequently asked questions
What are the dates of Taurus?
20 April – 20 May, as a rule: the Sun enters a sign at a time that varies from year to year, sometimes by a day. If you were born on the first or last day, the calculation by date and time of birth settles it.
Should I also read my rising sign?
Yes, if you know it: the ascendant describes how the day comes to you, the Sun sign what you make of it. Read both cards. Calculate your ascendant with your time of birth.
Where does today’s text come from?
From an astronomical engine published on this site, which recalculates every day the real positions of the Moon, Venus, Mars, Mercury and the Sun and compares them with your sign: same sign, opposition, trine, square… The text assembles what tradition associates with each relationship; the closing tip is drawn by lot with the date. No prediction, no scientific claim.
