Kenya, 55 million people, unified its marriage law in the Marriage Act 2014, which recognises civil, Christian, Hindu, customary and Islamic marriages — the last two potentially polygamous — at a minimum age of 18, while the Matrimonial Property Act 2013 governs division and the Protection Against Domestic Violence Act 2015 provides protection orders. The Sexual Offences Act 2006 sets the age of consent at 18.
Abortion is prohibited by the 2010 Constitution except where a trained health professional finds the woman's life or health at risk, same-sex relations remain criminalised, and the Data Protection Act 2019 created an independent commissioner.
